What We Believe Shapes How We Live

We believe the Bible is God’s inspired Word.

The Scriptures are the final authority for faith and practice. They are divinely inspired, without error, and reveal God’s plan of salvation through Jesus Christ. At Holston Baptist Church, we teach and live by the truth of God’s Word.

We worship one God in three Persons.

God exists eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is holy, loving, and sovereign over all creation. We affirm the Trinity as central to our faith and relationship with Him.

Jesus is the Son of God and our Savior.

We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again on the third day. Through Him we receive forgiveness, eternal life, and hope.

Salvation is by grace through faith.

We believe that salvation is a gift from God, not earned by works but received through faith in Jesus Christ. All who repent and trust in Him are born again and become children of God.

The Church is the body of Christ.

We believe the Church is made up of all believers, called to worship, fellowship, discipleship, and mission. Holston Baptist Church exists to glorify God, serve our community, and share the Gospel with the world.

Jesus will return to make all things new.

We believe in the personal, visible return of Jesus Christ. He will establish His kingdom fully, judge the living and the dead, and bring eternal joy to those who belong to Him.
